Thank you bafflingly torquey Bosch power drill for being capable of cutting neat holes in steel. Even though you look like a fuckin’ Pez dispenser you get the job done.
After the seat trials making a thing out of sheet metal is like… BAM! Cardboard model! BAM! Line it out! The biggest challenge right now is that I have a completely shitty sub-Harbor Freight grinder that shot smoke out of itself while trying to cut like 14ga steel, and only one clamp. I need to upgrade before cutting out the tach mount because that actually requires moderately attractive curves. But even with the pathetic joke tool I was like BAM! Cut you out in twenty minutes! BAM! Test fit ideal! BAM! Drilling stuff! Secondary hole placement on the morrow, BAM! I can live with this. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before I enter another horrible realm of suffering and misery but I am going to savor my tiny victories before the next struggle.
